Well, it has been two weeks since Darrell got the job offer with HCA in Henderson, Nevada. It has been a whirlwind. My goal was to get the house on the market before we left for a week in Idaho, knowing that a clean house was best for showing. What better time to show than while we're gone?
So, that gave me one week. We were crazy busy that week! The kids were great and worked hard right along with me. One of my best friends, Gina Brown, stopped in Friday morning and cleaned the bathrooms and vaccumed behind us as we cleared rooms. We never would have gotten to the airport with it all done had she not come! The house listed Thursday at midnight. The MLS number for those interested in taking a peak is 3754137.
We were glad to get on the plane and have a break! Darrell met us in the Salt Lake airport. His flight for Twin Falls was the next morning, and since he missed us and is a bargain shopper, he told the happy delta people that they could have all 5 of our overbooked seats on Friday night. So, we were put up in a hotel together Friday night, all flew into Idaho together, and to top it off have alot of Delta credit so we can come back and visit in Georgia.
Idaho was full of friends and family, and a lot of fun. We stayed with the Amos family in Jerome (Twin Falls) for the weekend. Garrett (Amos)'s Eagle Court of Honor was wonderful. The boys all went to the dance that night, and fell in with all Garrett's other friends like they've known each other forever.

Monday and Tuesday we spent with my brother's family in Boise. It was fun to just be there and visit and play games together. It was neat that we happened to be there for Joe's birthday as well. Not something that happens much. My nephew Brian is a river guide, so we rented a raft and he took us down the river on Tuesday. He enjoyed going the ways he's not really suppose to go when he's working a tour. We "tacoed" the boat once, and I think Erin got the brunt of it. Not sure which big boy ended up on top iof her, but she recovered quickly. My nephew Josh came over Monday night too, so we got to visit with his family. Erin was very happy to see another baby cousin.
(We ended up playing "straws" so we wouldn't hurt the table with "spoons"!)

Wednesday it was back to Twin Falls/Jerome. We met the Amos' at the Twin Falls temple. We got lucky to be there during the open house for this new temple. It was an awesome experience to be with our kids in the temple. I hope it is something they will remember and a place they will strive to return to.

After the temple tour, we stopped to see Shoshone Falls, then spent the day together at Durkey Lake. Sean was thrilled that he could dive and jump in however he wanted to. He is definitely a water person! Gariet and Gregory both jumped off the rocks, along with Courtney and Garrett. I think they were very suprised when I told them to go ahead. Once was enough for all of them. The day will be a great memory.

Thursday and Friday were spent in Shelley and Ririe with my sister Linda. One day at the house, and one day at "the ranch". Again, good times just being together. At the ranch, the kids did have a good time on the ATV's. Gregory found his hidden talent of being a "cow whisperer" too. Very entertaining!

Friday night found us back in Jerome. The adults went out to dinner and had a great visit. The boys ate pizza and played Rock Band. Thegirls ended up going to Barnes and Noble to party with the "twilighters" waiting for "Breaking Dawn", then saw the lines when the time finally came and ran to Wal-Mart to pick it up for half the price. Smart girls.
So, now we're home. Darrell starts the new job on August 11th, actually at a meeting in Nashville. Then, he'll drive to Las Vegas. The boys will fly out on the 23rd to start school on the 25th. Erin, Sean , and I are still up in the air. We'll let you know when we're going when we know.
So, there's the run down of our crazy and wonderful last two weeks. The next two promise more of the same!

WOW! Nevada, huh. I had no idea. Congratulations on the job and good luck with the rest of the moving. It looks like you had a wonderful trip to Idaho. Lots of fun for the end of summer. Love ya, Mandi
