Gariet was on the varsity XC team, and they went to Regionals on October 31st.
Their team came in 4th in regionals, so did not make it to state. Gariet's time was 18:04. The one boy on their team who came in right before Gariet got to go to state as an individual. He is a freshman, so they should have a strong team next year. Since he was the only one, Gariet continued going to practice last week, then to warmups at state so the young man wouldn't be running alone. Their girls team came in first in regionals and ended second in state.

Looks like lots of girls to me...is it about the running or the girls? Just joking - that is great that Gariet has done so well and kudos to him for training with the other boy going to state!
